You Have 1 Minute 50 Seconds To Find Out Why Exercise Is Out Movement Is In!

Hi girls.

It’s Kaz here from Kaz TV, and it’s Weight Loss Wednesday.

Exercise is out movement is in… weight loss without exercise… its true.

Now today I am going to talk to you about how we can increase our incidental movement around the place.  This is not exercise, this is just movement, things we do everyday that with a little change will make a big difference to your weight loss… they are really simple!

Kaz’s Step 1.  Now I know you’re busy mums and you’ve got the kids running around all over the place but let’s try and get a little bit of extra movement in what you do every day. So little things like, okay, you forgot the milk, you want to jump in the car and get down to the milk bar to get some more. No, no, no. Put the kids on their bikes, or their scooters, or pop them in the pram take them for a walk down there. That’s the best way to get more movement (and milk!)

Kaz’s Step 2.  Change up little things around the house; say for example the girlfriend rings up, or mother-in-law  and you know you’re going to be on the phone for a little chat make sure you’re on your cordless phone or your mobile and then walk around the house, or walk around out in the backyard while you’re having your chat at the same time.

Kaz’s Step 3.  Here’s a good one. When you’re hanging the washing out on the line put the pegs on the ground. That way every time you have to hang something up you have to bend down as well. And that way you’re getting that up and down movement at the same time. That’s a cheeky one.

Kaz’s Step 4.  My favorite … well not my favorite (!) but … vacuuming is something we all have to do, whether it’s hubby does it or we do it, but when we do it make sure you put the music on, turn it up loud and have a bit of a boogie at the same time. That movement is fantastic for you and you can enjoy yourself at the same time.

Kaz’s Step 5.  Make sure you get really involved with the kids when they’re playing outside. Run around with them. Chase them around or chase the dog around the backyard. It’s another good way of moving.

(Ta Da Bonus point!) When un-stacking the dishwasher; do one plate at a time. Rather than stack them all and put them away, bend, pick up one plate, put  it away, bend, pick them up, put them away. There’s another one that you can do. Just increases that little bit of movement around the place.

I know that you’re busy. I know you have to do lots of things but just try and make a bit of a change when you do things and it will make it a bit… a bit more movement and it’ll make a lot more of an effect on your weight loss.

    This makes so much sense. On other programs I was running and exercising every day and I lost 8 kilos in 12 weeks. On your 12 week program I lost 16 kilos and only did movement… all done at home… like squats, and everyday walking. – So true.
