How To Avoid Getting Bunged Up… Make Fiber Your Friend!

Now today, we’re going to talk about fiber and how you can make fiber your friend.

Hi girls, it’s Kaz here from Kaz TV and it’s Weight Loss Wednesday.

Now fiber’s really important for a few reasons. One, obviously the most important or not so much the most important, but the one we worry about the most, is you don’t want to get all bunged up. Don’t want that do you?!  Fiber will help clean your system right out. It helps aid in digestion, which is really important for weight loss.

It also helps lower your (LDL) bad cholesterol and it’s also good for a lot of other digestive problems and it also helps other diseases like heart disease.

All in all, you want to make fiber your friend. To do that you need to make sure that you increase your fiber in your diet and make sure that you drink lots and lots of water so that the fiber flushes through you and gets everything moving.

Where do we get our fiber from? One of the most easiest sources of fiber is from your green, leafy vegetables.  Your spinach, your rocket, your kale if you like it.  Chard, broccoli, brussel sprouts and all of those green vegetables are also fantastic.

Other vegetables that are really good are tomatoes, mushrooms, zucchini, cauliflower and all those really, really, really, really yummy vegetables that you can add to your diet.  Have lots of them, legumes are also a really good source of fiber so are your chick peas, your lentils, your butter beans and your red kidney beans.

They’re all really good food and you can always add them to lots of different things like the chilli con carne and your spaghetti bolognese… (without the pasta, of course!).

Psst… you can have baked zucchini as your pasta instead.

When you’re having your carb serve in the morning, you can have your nice multi grain bread, which has got lots of fiber in it as well and that’s really good in the morning but make sure you drink lots and lots of water to flush it all out.

    I get my fibre from a supplament. It has no taste and you just mix it in with water. I take it with my breakfast. Too easy. Down 5 kilo-rammas and its only week 2 woohoo. Thanks sweetie.
